Lost in translation

My Germans today were trying to explain what a “flame cake” was…flammkuchen it turns out (a kind of German pizza equivalent) not at all cakey or flamey, some things just don’t translate (and I know flammkuchen, but they decided to call it flame cake which sounded intriguing…)
