Ominous

It was cold (14 degrees below normal) and clear most of the day today, but a large threatening cloud bank arrived in the afternoon, accompanied by rain.  This is what it looked like from my bedroom window.  Fortunately I had no need to go out today and could stay home and keep warm with Sylvie.

I had a telephone conversation this afternoon with cousin Sharon, the first time we've talked in a while.  She'll be turning 85 in just a short while and we're hoping that she can come up for a visit in the Spring after the new baby arrives.  It's years since I've seen her; when we were younger women I visited annually for several years. We're all looking forward to seeing her and have her meet the next generation.
