IT RAINED!

We had unexpected misty rain overnight
& for brief periods today. We timed our late afternoon walk just right, to see the sky brighten into a lovely sunset.

Tomorrow
it should rain hard most of the day.
It won’t end our drought, but all the plants
will appreciate the moisture; & it will give a
short respite from wildfire danger.

The damp chill urges me to make soup
& snuggle up with a good book.
