Thank you

Thank you. Those were granny’s last words. And on Saturday, we celebrated her life. Dad was amazing, keeping it together until the very end. He broke down as he invited us to turn the page with thankfulness.

In the afternoon cousins wondered what to say to each other. Our side of the W-I team catered, cleared, served, entertained, as we do.

C and I made the most of the day, taking a long walk from town to Cramond afterwards - “be a tree” I said. We should all be more like trees. I think trees are probably pretty thankful, for rain and stuff we don’t have much care for.

Into the evening a few too many bottles were opened and I listened, watched and tried to understand patiently until it was time to go.
