Sunday: Lamanai Chocolate

I woke up quite early and had a lovely hour sitting on the deck, reading, and listening to all the morning sounds.  Unfortunately, an issue came up at work that I had to deal with, but I managed to do what I needed to do without impacting the morning too much.

Great breakfast and then a short walk before check-out.  We were back home by mid-day, having stopped off at the Lamanai Chocolate Company to have a look.  It sells all types of chocolate, coffee and cacao, all locally sourced and in its purest form.  We had a couple of excellent iced coffees.

First order of the day when we got home was to put a big piece of lamb in the oven. Sam & Geoff, who run ‘Corkers’, came over for dinner as did T&K, whom we call ‘The Beliezers’.  K is my colleague and her and T live opposite us on the compound.  It’s all very handy as they had gone over in the morning to get the lamb out of the fridge to get it up to room temperature.  They also let Barney out for a while….

Dinner was a great success.  We thought, given the size of the lamb, we’d had loads left over but there isn’t a scrap left!
