the ghost of Christmas yet to come

Our visas for our trip to India finally arrived this morning.  We have mixed feelings about the whole thing.  

On the one hand, there's the issue (for us at least) of carbon emissions and air travel, as well as the fact that, while we can do this, many people can't pay their bills.

And on the other hand, Dan - who now lives in India - is getting married over Christmas. The three-day ceremony is not something we can easily be part of on Zoom.

I once heard a financial advisor tell a room full of people who were complaining about having to pay high rate tax, that high rate tax was actually a nice problem to have.
