North Valla Beach

Looking north to the Bellinger Valley from North Valla over the Jagun Nature reserve. Home to coastal malaleuca and banksia forests, its a key place for endangered gliders and other species. Every afternoon visited by flocks of black cockatoos, King parrots and at night both white and powerful owls are known to frequent. Saved in the 90s from development, its has strong connections to cultural traditions of the local Gumbaynggirr people.
