Building Inspector

What a delight to look out the kitchen window this morning and see not one, but THREE Eastern Bluebirds investigating the nest box in the patio garden.  It seemed to be an adult male, adult female and what appeared to be an immature male - and I wonder if it might be the same pair that nested here last spring.  Anyway, he was in and out of the box and then just sat on top for a while - long enough for me to snap a few pics through the window.  And a nice way to start the day.

Followed up with a nice long FT chat with my parents.  Isn't technology wonderful - it can feel like you are sitting together sharing a cup of coffee/tea even while you are 2500 miles apart?  Raining and cool in Portland; rainy and unseasonably warm in New Jersey.  

Jax is bored at is making noises akin to a seal at the moment.  Which means if I don't entertain him, he will find something to entertain himself.  That usually never ends well.  So I'd best got do something to keep him busy.
