Abstract Thursday ...

... floating.

It was another beautiful day so R took the afternoon off so we could get in one last kayaking trip.  He packed everything up in the car and after lunch we headed to Nockamixon State Park ... which has a nice lake for kayaking.

There were more people on the lake than I expected for November and it being Thursday.  Some other kayakers and other boaters.  I've added an Extra photo of a fisherman and his dog enjoying the day on the lake. The dog was cute to watch as shortly after this photo he walked back to the seats and sat in the driver's seat!  I wish those pictures came out better as it was adorable.

On the way home we stopped at another lake that Richard had seen on the map ... Lake Towhee.  There was a fisherman just coming in from the lake so stopped to talk to him for a while.  The lake looks like a great place to kayak in the future but the man said that each year the lake has to be cleared of an invasion plant with a prickly nut he called water chestnuts ... not the kind that are edible!  Those might not be very friendly to our inflatable kayak!  But the lake might still be worth checking into next summer.

As we were leaving Lake Towhee Richard commented that it looked familiar and that we had been here years ago for the solar eclipse in 2017! What a memory!
