Birds in Their Little Nest

I've been out in the back yard twice this morning, photographing spring details, and have other photos that are technically better, but I just love how these two small apple buds remind me of baby birds in a nest -- although baby birds, at least in the early days, aren't half as cute as these fuzzy buds!

We've never had so much blossom before on our two dwarf apple trees, and now are hoping to see some bees buzzing around them. Maybe the bees are confused because the trees are blossoming at least two weeks earlier than usual, or maybe they find the tiny flowers of the evergreen huckleberries more appealing, as I've seen bees on those native shrubs in the past couple of days.
