On the side of the road

There are increasing numbers of doves in New Zealand. The spotted doves in particular are adept at being fed in places like Western Springs. There many of them in this neighbourhood, and it is possible to hear their calls from early morning to late evening. 

Today's jog to Tangiwai Reserve and back did not produce a lot of photo opportunities. This particular bird stayed where I was able to take its photo,
