Raku Day

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make my Raku Day at pottery because of my covid and they were not able to fill my space so potentially works have wasted £95 !!!!

Thankfully I was able to make it and it was good fun. Results are always very unpredictable but I was particularly happy with this glowing piece being lifted from the kiln before being plunged into paper and sawdust.

This is Cellan from the last series of Great Pottery Throwdown. I chose a pot he had made to fire too!

After pottery, I went to see Daughter Number 1, Matty and Spencer in their shiny new home! They moved 3 days ago. Completing with just 24 hours notice and not getting the keys until 5pm with the removal men sitting outside the house threatening to leave!!!

Matty was SO happy to see me.... calling GaGa and telling me mu boots where really dirty and I had to take them off!!!! He took great delight in showing me round the house and playing hide-and-seek!!! Just as I was about to leave, DN2 and Jasper arrived so I had to go back in for a bit and make Mr W wait a bit longer for me to help build the wardrobes that arrived today!!!!

DN1 is so very happy to be back in her home town. 5 minutes from her dad, 10 minutes from her sister and 15 minutes from her mummy instead of an hour and 15 minutes. So good to have her back.

11 years today since I lost my daddy to Cancer. Hes up there chucking gunpowder over everyone!!!! Hes like that. We called him Dangerous Brian after his final year in hospital with every complication of bowel cancer you could ever imagine!!
