A change from saffron
I managed a break from the m****** and had about an hour and a bit up on the allotment. It was raining on and off, but there was plenty to be getting on with in the polytunnel. I have finally planted out some of my tunnel brassicas and cleared all the dead plants from the staging. So there is space for some more planting in pots now.
Today's harvest included yet more slightly soggy saffron - 3 flowers this time and 4 more buds visible - and the two very small tomatoes found on the benching in the extra. The bigger one is (oops, was - I've eaten it now) the size of a 20p piece!
I forgot to take any pictures up there with all the rain, so you have got Taz in his new favourite spot for hiding. This is an old cat bed that neither cat has ever wanted to sleep in and is usually only used by the grandpup when she comes to stay.
Hoping for a drier day tomorrow.
