The Green,k Strathaven

The day started off a bit wet, so I dried the washing indoors.  But in the afternoon it cleared up and was sunny.  

We had to go to Strathaven to collect something this afternoon, and while there I took a photo of the Common Green.  The steps down to the burn were to facilitate the washer women in the days when the washing was done there.  

Tonight being Guy Fawkes Night, I hope that no animals or humans come to harm and that people go to organised bonfires.  Stay safe!!!!
