Made a .....

.....Spiced Apple Traybake this morning.  It's an old recipe of my mothers, cooked in an old tin of my mother-in-laws and used up some of the apples we were given a few weeks ago.  It's a lovely recipe.  We finally turned the Rayburn on as the damp was making us feel cold so I had to move the syrup and black treacle tins or it would all have melted.  They're been there fore weeks!  Another old fashioned thing as I gather you now buy syrup (proper golden syrup) in a squeeze bottle.  Everything changes.....for the better....well, I don't know really!!
