This is the newest addition to my small collection of vintage cameras, an Argus C3 Rangefinder probably dating back to the 50's, though the design was basically unchanged from the thirties through the war years and up until the mid-sixties. I saw it in a junk shop just down the road from where we live. The owner let me open it up and check out the controls and it appears to be in working order, though the real test will be when I clean it up and throw some film in for the first time. It has the original leather case and a hand held meter was included as part of the kit. No box or manual, no big deal.

Originally marketed as an inexpensive alternative to the European imports of the time, this is one solid and heavy camera - it's nickname is "the brick". It is credited, in this country at least, with popularizing the 35mm format.
