Notes: Awake early and got the knowing that the rental was already gone - sure enough, got up 5a-something and was an email from Pam saying it was no longer available. Did some more searching but came up with nothing. Heard from Bette 8a and needed few more things - packed up all the TJs stuff and split items, ran to the 34th St Publix (dog food, choc syrup) and then out to Vina to drop everything and do a few things around the house. Re-did my chickpeas for hummus and made that early afternoon - split into roasted garlic, olive and lemon. Joe arrived around 240p and we headed south. Got to see much of the damage from Hurr Ian to Ft Myers and surrounding areas, lots of debris and broken still, many FEMA trucks, lots of tarps on roofs, blown out signs, uprooted trees and more, destruction (like in the pic). Roof job was huge - we scanned 205,000 sq feet but went well and was in good shape so finished a lot sooner than expected. Still didn't get back until ~1030p, hot shower and then couldn't fall asleep till after midnight.
