D went up to the allotment again - slowly re-acquainting himself with it!  I did some marking and was about to do another assignment when this happened - Windows 11 or some such nonsense. Took a very long time.

Heard later that another old friend died suddenly last night - the sad 'slow thinning out' that Pensioner referred recently seems to be speeding up. Last time we saw Colin was at a funeral in Telford - he was part of the ill-fated convoy to the wake (think he got there, at least).
