While walking home I noticed some faint iridescent clouds beside the setting sun.  The rainbow colours are fairly rare and caused when small water droplets or ice crystals scatter the sun’s light in thin cloud.  It was disappointing to find that the colours were not very obvious in the photos so here is the sun about ten minutes earlier before the iridescence appeared
