Frozen Solid

We had a cold night last night and a beautiful frosty morning.  I went for a lovely walk with my two neighbours, Shirley and Ruth.  We walked along the  cycle track from Innerleithen to Walkerburn where we stopped off for coffee and scones at the Caberston Cafe and (after exploring the Victorian men’s loos) we walked back to Innerleithen along the opposite side of the river.  This evening just as we were about to start cooking our tea, Mark was called by the GP and told to go to the Eye Pavillion in Edinburgh to have his infected eye (side effect of his surgery earlier this year) looked at immediately.  So, we went off into Edinburgh and had fish and chips when we eventually got back home again.
