Slimbridge

Today I had a day off work. B and I went to Slimbridge wild fowl and wetlands centre. The weather was beautiful. We saw lots of ducks and various birds. I particularly liked the black necked swans, see in extras. B saw a kingfisher. Not many swans. They are due to arrive any day now. Apparently they usually migrate in October but need a cool east wind to get here. There are disinfectant mats etc and no feeding of the birds due to bird flu, to try to prevent it spreading and hopefully keep the birds healthy.
