Swans, wacky dresses and facials

The boy went on his annual Swan to Swan pub crawl today which takes in 15 pubs and a pint has to be drank in each pub. So me and the bridesmaid hit Birmingham for a spot of shopping and a facial.

First stop a couture wedding dress shop which seem liked a good idea until we got there. The were all pretty wacky. The craziest having large tattoo style embroidery all over it. We soon realised that I would be paying rather a lot of money for a very simple dress as I didn't want any crazy stuff on mine. We had fun though and I have realised that this wedding dress shopping lark wasn't quite so scary afterall. We then looked in a few high street shops for wedding dresses so I can see what styles I like without an assistant coming in and pushing me into the dresses. A normal changing room wear I get dressed myself is much nicer!

A quite stop for lunch, then to Selfridges for a facial, which I have to say was rather pleasurable and I felt very fresh and radiant when we approached a make up counter for a free makeup fix before heading home.

In the evening made the wrong decision to go meet the boy at pub 12. He was in a right state. He greeted me with a kiss and then told me how he had been sick. Nice! He was eventually thrown out of pub 15 after falling asleep.

He admits he is getting to old for this now though! Luckily we will be on our honeymoon next year.

A very nice day out without the boy need to do it more often!
