A Rather Grandiose Past

I caught the train to Newcastle this morning for an industry conference. I had a bit of a rigmarole with a train cancellation late last night and the next train was rammed..so I waited 3 minutes and caught the empty one after!

I had a good day catching up with ex colleagues and industry contacts and making new ones. The event was held in the
Royal Station Hotel that has this amazing chandelier over the main staircase, it was obvious to see that the hotel must have had a rather grandiose past.
