Helmeted Guineafowl.....

This Guinea Fowl is one of a group of four, which is all that remains of the original group of ten that the farmer had imported from South Africa.

It appears that Mr Fox has been a busy boy.........

He was saying that the remaining four birds make such a noise when they're feeling threatened that predators feel intimidated and do a runner, i'd like to catch up with him in six months time to see if his theory is valid.

I do have to say that as soon as this guy spotted me he did in fact stand very tall and start calling / screeching........ At that his three comrades stood alert, spotted me, and all four moved off together........

Hopefully they'll survive Mr Foxes attention, but ultimately i fear the pot will be calling them at some point.
