MONSTERA deliciosa: Swiss Cheese Plant
A few years ago, on Mother’s Day, my next door neighbor gave me a tiny houseplant in a paper cup. I had no idea what it was; but
transplanted it & gave it some TLC.
It has spent the Summers, in the shade
underneath my patio cover. In late Autumn I bring it inside, when the fierce winds starts. Last weekend, I transplanted it again & gave it a hard pruning, & deep watering.
My children love houseplants, but I have a love-hate relationship with them. That may change with this easy, disease & drought tolerant beauty. In fact, it has earned it’s name: deliciosa.
