Morning mists rolling down into the Golden Valley

I saw this mist beginning to disperse from the top of Minchinhampton Common, rolling down the combes into the Golden Valley.

The dark clouds behind weren't far behind and as you'd expect began toi drop heavy rain a little while later.

In the foreground are the fields on the far side of the Lime Brook which flows down The Horns valley to join the River Frome that runs down the Golden Valley. In the middle distance is the hamlet of Thrupp, and old gathering of cottages along the spring line but which has grown somewhat as Stroud has extended.
