A gentle afternoon's storytelling experience.  Well I really feel that this is what retirement is all about - how cute is this?  Storytelling for Grown-ups. On the first Wednesday of every month for the princely sum of £2 with a cup of tea thrown in (not literally) two professional touring storytellers entertain us for an hour in the Foyer/Bar of our beautiful little Edwardian Theatre.  They were very good - you could have heard a pin drop -  they held us enthralled.  A couple of little songs sung a cappella or accompanied by tin whistle, hand drum & stick and vintage box accordion completed the set.  I shall go again.  Best thing is that it is only a 10 minute walk away and wasn't advertised as somewhere to go to keep warm for our imminent cold season of austerity.
