2022 Tuesday — Butterflies & Birthdays

This is about sisters and daughters:

This is the next “entry” in the Birthday Card Parade that my sister is sending during this birthday month that began on October 17th and will conclude on my actual birthday on November 17th. Magnificent butterflies.

I told my sister “This beautiful butterfly card just arrived with the late afternoon mail delivery. I’d like to saddle-up a butterfly and land in your backyard to enjoy the beauty and quiet there. This birthday card is so very beautiful. I think it is fabulous that the Internet has not stolen the wonder of sending real mail. In Cayucos this is butterfly season — the Monarch butterflies are floating past the front windows every day.”

My sister lives in Portland, OR. I see her seldom, but we make-up for it by using the services of United States Postal System.

This morning my daughter and I enjoyed breakfast together at the little airport cafe in our SoCal city. She really wanted me to try the seasonal pumpkin pancakes that are available thru November. They were delicious. I post very few photos lately of my daughter and myself. I think it looks ridiculous that I still color my hair and she chose several years ago not to. I still like the hair color I was born with. If I could be instantly my natural gray, I would (I think); it is the getting there that I am not looking forward to. Sheeeeeesh!
