Snowdonia

Last day of our holiday - firstly had a walk along the seafront /estuary front at Borth-y-gest - hadn't walked along there for about 18 years and had forgotten how beautiful it is. Then we had to do the railway - a trip on the Ffestiniog, on a train that Rat was doing the guarding of, dressed at a 150 years ago guard! The trip was great - we were in a first class compartment on one of the ancient coaches which was fun and the weather was perfect - could see the top of Snowdon across the estuary from the train - as in the photo! Unusual to have such excellent weather, especially on a bank holiday! Then drove home via Snowdonia and stopped for a walk at Chirk Castle - yet another NT property. Excellent holiday.
