The Woodland Giant
On the day the wind blew the Giant tripped and fell over an uprooted tree. His head rolled away two eyes dropping out like pebbles, his arms tumbled like logs and stick fingers were carried by gusts of wind.
The next day when everything was calm and the sun was shining, the children returned to the woods. The Woodland Giant was nowhere to be seen.
In the dappled light a child found a small pebble like eye. They searched and searched and after a lot of thinking the Giant was all back in one piece ready to watch over their games and fun.
