Flowering grasses

As I walked among these flowering grasses today I was listening to a broadcast about hayfever. One in five Australians suffers from hayfever and the most common allergens are flowering grasses. This year is expected to be the worst ever for hayfever sufferers, because La Nina has resulted in a bumper crop of grasses.

Then I met our neighbour Des who is very frustrated because he can’t mow the long (flowering) grass in his paddock. La Nina has resulted in the ground being too wet to mow. Every time he tries the mower gets bogged.

So if we're sneezing, it's all the fault of La Nina.
