Spring....

....nice to be sitting back, taking it easy enjoying family time with mum, daughter E and my brother over from Sydney. It's warm, 26C with a gusty nor'wester.

Our thoughts are with those who have properties on the border of the Pegasus Beach fire, currently 4 helicopters and 2 fixed wing aircraft are water bombing the area while ground crews work on hotspots and creating fire breaks. The fire covers 184ha along 5.5km of the coast, Woodend Holiday Park was evacuated last night, if only the wind would drop....

A white banksia rose was draped over the outdoor seating area where we were sheltered while we chatted over lunch.

Since I was last here my garden has moved on from magnolias to rhododendrons now in full bloom, the bees and monarchs are loving it.

Update: The fire is now contained thanks to the fire department and volunteers, fireworks are suspected for starting the fire.
