Grey Heron

I was just crossing the road this morning when I saw the young one flying towards me. She landed on the pavement just ahead of me and stood there momentarily waiting for me. A cyclist stopped at the traffic lights almost fell off her bike and I am sure some of the drivers stared in disbelief. Thankfully she didn't like it and took off almost immediately back to the park. When I made my way towards the loch I spotted her walking across the grass to meet me. I wandered over and started feeding her only to be joined by the older female and two crows. The two crows settled for biscuits and I gave the two heron their usual fish. An unleashed dog scared them off though. The young one flew to the rail of the viewing platform and the older one to the water. As soon as the young one saw me approach she flew down beside the older one where I continued feeding them. I then made my way to feed the males, however it was only the adult there so he got the bulk of what I had (some went to a couple of crows). As I made my way home one final crow landed on the road ahead of me for a biscuit!
The extra is the young one (R) ond the older female (L) when I got to the water.
