Good Things Come To Those Who Wait
On This Day In History
1986: Grete Waitz wins her eighth New York City Marathon
Quote Of The Day
"My basic philosophy can be summed up by an expression we use in Norwegian: hurry slowly. Get there, but be patient."
(Grete Waitz)
I completely concur with Ms. Waitz' philosphy because, for one, I am not a very fast runner but I do have strong endurance, and secondly because I have waited patiently for organised marathons to resume in Japan since the last one I entered, the Kyoto Marathon, in January, 2020. I am so excited about running the Nara Marathon for the first time on December 11.
