Centaurea Montana

I'm sure this must have a common name but can't think what it is! It's good to see some colour still in the garden amongst the grey days of late. The sun was shining when I took this but it was short lived. I put my washing on the line but brought it back in 30 minutes later as the wind was so strong it was all just wrapped round and round the line with no chance of drying. Much more likely it would have ended up amongst the hens in their enclosure at the end of the garden! I thought it would be a good drying day but unfortunately it all had to come in and onto the ceiling drying rack where at least I know it's safe!
Kath and I cleared the last of the donations to the shop which is now bulging at the seams. We are definitely going to have a complete spring clean in the new year. That will be several days work but good to have a clean sweep.
We then had a very convivial afternoon in the hall with the sewing group. There were 10 of us with much chatter, laughter and eating of cake and drinking of tea. I'm not sure how much sewing or knitting was actually done, but that is of no consequence as the afternoon slipped by with some happy people.
I'm getting to grips with my Ninja foodi and made a squash, chickpea and Quorn curry, although I did cook the rice on the Hob. I do like a one pot recipe!
