born just a few short days ago - isn't he the cutest thing ever? boo...

i took so many photos today - why? who knows - it's not like i'll ever use them all - or that all them are any good... there's just something about having a new creature entering the world - i feel like we've been waiting for these goslings for quite the time now - what with the weather being all strange - so it's quite the moment - and there were only 2 - yup - 2! it makes me wonder if that's all that survived because of severity of the weather changing on us... but there are more coming - hopefully within the week - so we'll see what happens...

as for this particular shot - well - i kept coming back to it out of the many - it reminded me - i don't know about you - but there were times when my mama couldn't resist using spit to clean a spot of who knows what off of me - yes, spit - ewwww... why do mama's do that? i think it's inherent - they can't help themselves - when i saw this perfect drop coming off mama goose - it made me remember all those times when i was a kiddo - and i actually shuddered for this little one - what he will endure in the days ahead - his quick growing up time - i get to watch it - maybe will see more of these moments - that makes for...
