I think I’m a silly old thing sometimes

This is the laundry basket my son had in his bedroom from when he was quite small. Luckily, he was willing to put his dirty washing inside the ladybird. I was keen to encourage him to be civilised and do his own washing from quite young, which worked out fairly well. He’s now a reasonably decent citizen and does more than 50% of the housework and cooking in the home he shares with his wife.
I’m doing a huge declutter before major building work happens here soon - I asked him if he wanted to have this.  Initially he thought yes, but it turns out the fabric is worn in places and the wire frame sticks out in a rather risky way. So it’s going to the tip.  But I was feeling a bit sad about that, so I thought I’d take a photo and put it here in my journal, as a way of keeping the memory. Silly I know:)
