.. or strawberry tree to its friends. Although edible, rather too bitter to enjoy. 
After a long drive down the motorway in what felt like the rinse and spin cycle of an angry washing machine, we're now back home. 
This is just a back up shot of the colourful little fruit, in differing stages of ripening.
