Start of a new crown
Looking out the window in our 'en suite', S noticed the new fronds growing from the top of one of the Ponga tree ferns between our house and the neighbour. I wasn't happy with the way it looked from that window, and so opened a window behind my desk in the adjacent study. Quietly pleased with the way the new fronds look as they grow to displace the old crown.
I had been out for a jog after getting home. Only took one photo on that. Of a Pukeko (swamp hen) on swampy ground and surrounded by reeds. See extra.
