Happy Halloween

This from Bethel Cemetery, here a resting place established in the 1850s. The headstone on the left is of Maria E. Frazer, August 28, 1822 - September 18, 1881. 59 years. Hard to read, but the inscription at the bottom of the stone with these words: “Remember, as you are now, so once was I.”
It calls to mind this song by Nada Surf, “See These Bones”, a favorite of mine:

Look alive, see these bones.
What you are now, we were once.
Just like we are, you’ll be dust.
