The Vestal

The weather is ideal for migrant moths at the moment, with the warm winds coming up from the south bringing record numbers of rarely seen migrant moths with them.
This little moth The Vestal is one such migrant, sadly not rarely seen as I catch them most years but .. this is the first pink one I have ever seen. They are mostly cream with a brownish line, but they can be fully pink or just a little pink as in this beautiful example.
