Witch Hazel Seed

I have been busy with other things most of the day and have to confess I forgot to take a blip.  So just before it gets dark (now that the clocks have gone back and it is dark earlier) I nipped out to the garden.  Was rather intrigued by the seed 'nut' on the witch hazel, which we planted in the springtime.  Interested to see it develop as a bush.

Country danced in the morning, spent some time chatting in the afternoon to a neighbour to happened by, and did an ironing...... that seems to have been my day.  Doesn't sound much but took me all day.  Now going to make dinner.
