Golden Threads

This tapestry - Golden Threads Reawakened- has been on display in our church for a few weeks. The reels of threads lay unopened for 70 years. The extra explains some of the back story.

After church I picked up some shopping, including a large turkey crown for Christmas. There have not been any large ones for several weeks so I thought it best to buy it now. To make room for it in the(full) freezer I had to remove some frozen sloes so I set to on making sloe gin.

It meant that my plans to clear out the greenhouse and wash it down were much delayed (due to the need to prick each sloe). As the sun set I finished the cleaning. Fortunately the overnight weather is set to be mild - a reason I decided to set aside other plans and do the cleaning today - so the various plants can be left outside overnight. Tomorrow I’ll put things back.
