As close as it got

It's really hard to understand how the weather could change so dramatically and so suddenly. Just a week ago all the talk was about summer starting, now it's back into the dismal depths of chilly, damp, dismal spring.

To top it all, my quarterly busy-ness is upon me. Material which was promised for last Thursday only began to come in from the client this morning, and it'll be heads down more or less full-time for the next three weeks.

This glimpse of brightness through the kitchen door was as close as I got today to getting out of the house. At least there's the consolation of knowing that I would have got wet outside anyway.
