Chatterley Whitfield Mine

Today we had a club trip to Chatterley Whitfield Mine. Chatterley Whitfield is widely acknowledged to be the most comprehensive surviving example of a deep mine site in England. It has been designated by Historic England as an Scheduled Ancient Monument.
