Inspiring words.

Today has been very grey and cloudy. There was a torrential downpour earlier. It was a surprise.
I have been praying as always for peace and family to be saved by the Word of God's grace. So many bad things happen that we can not stop. It is possible to pray and root out our individual sins and be aware of how easily a soul can get lost on this challenging planet.
I was listening yesterday to a version of Pilgrim's Progress on YouTube. Afterwards I found a good YouTube about Charles Haddon Spurgeon and realise how, if we can be inspired but not idolise great preachers like him, and take heart to use safe opportunities to spread the Good News about Salvation from Jesus atoning Sacrifice, then surely more souls can be saved. Sadly, modernsim has taken our generation and younger children, away from some great sermons and the spiritual value of listening to them. The distractions are many and we should be watchful to avoid the worse ones.
The leaves are much the same in the garden and there are glossy buds on the Horsechestnut tree,
now most of the Autumnal leaves are disintegrating.
I remembered to put my watch back an hour and it will seem odd for a while how time has been manipulated. It is like a strange sense of loss.
I wonder how the domestic and farm animals feel. Perhaps they see few changes.
