House plants

I’m reasonably ashamed to admit that we went out for a wonderful meal tonight with the family and yet the only photo I took was of this house plant.

The celebrations - mum’s retirement, Ruth’s PhD commencement and mine and Andrew’s new jobs - have revolved mostly around food. M&D took us for croissants at Niche this morning then A&R took us for a delicious meal at the Three Pigeons this evening. What a glorious day of feasting.

I’ve always assumed that I don’t like house plants, mostly because mum doesn’t like them. However, at nearly 40 years of age I have discovered that I can form my own opinions on such matters. I am a house plant convert.
