Litter Pick

A couple of people taking part in the Silent Disco Litter Pick on the beach this lunchtime. The event was organised by the Keep Scotland Beautiful My Beach Your Beach campaign in conjunction with Keep Porty Tidy and encouraged a small group out onto the beach and prom with bags and litter pickers while listening to music on their headphones. I did wonder if the timing - a weekday lunchtime - was the best time to attract participants  and a fair proportion of those taking part were actually working for the different organisations involved in the campaign, rather than ordinary volunteers. Still, it looked like a fun event to be part of, as people danced on the sand as they picked up litter.
