all a matter of life and death

Much of the day has been spent driving 350 miles south from Cumbria but I have managed to punctuate the day with thoughts of loved ones. This is the view from the garden of remembrance in my home town, I do hope you don't find it too ghoulish. I was there laying flowers as I always do when I am in Barrow-in-Furness. The view is gorgeous and it is such a peaceful place.

I had lunch with Chris and Mark, I was delighted to see Mark in such fine form just two days before brain surgery no. 2. He's a real pragmatist and is cracking on with things with humour and fortitude. He puts lots of things in perspective.
