Gaia Planet Earth at Chelmsford Cathedral.

I think I got the last ticket for the last entry time for this installation that has been touring UK.  Chelmsford Cathedral is quite small and this filled the space so that feeling of seeing planet Earth as space travellers do was a little lost.  Photographically it was a fail for me as well - took completely the wrong lens and got told off for standing on a plinth by the back wall in an effort to get the whole thing in shot....oops!  See extra. Had to satisfy myself with these kind of shots....glimpses of Gaia.  As it was Halloween and I was on my own I wanted to keep it lightweight as I was walking into the city centre at 21.00hrs from a car park I had researched online.  That was a waste of time - supposed to be 24hr - it was shut!  Parked roadside by the closed barrier for free so not all lost.  Visiting a city centre on a Saturday night when you haven't done so for many years is fraught with problems.  I had no idea if the car park I am familiar with for a daytime  visit would be full and it wasn't that close anyway. The centre was lively with many people spilling out across the streets from eateries making their way to their next venue and even at that early hour there were many mini-dramas being played out in the shadows of the "he said, she said and I'm not talking to either of them EVER again" scenario.  On the way back to the car there were already a few sitting on the kerb, head in hands being comforted by a less drunk friend.  Had to side step on to the road at one point as the peak moment of nausea appeared to be imminent. Interesting night.
